Food business operators are required by law, to ensure that food handlers receive appropriate supervision and instruction/training in food hygiene in line with their work activity and should enable them to handle food safely. http://www.food.gov.uk

Level 2 Food Safety Training
Who needs this qualification?
Anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Why is this training important?
Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat.
Learning outcomes
- Learn the importance of food safety and gain knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved
- Understand how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling)

Level 3 Food Safety Training
The Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety will benefit anyone working in a supervisory position where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering operations, for example pubs, hotels, restaurants, fast-food outlets, hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools and prisons.
Who needs this qualification?
- Managers and supervisors in catering,retail or manufacturing businesses of all sizes
- Particularly relevant for those who have to develop or monitor HACCP-based food safety management procedures and systems
Why is this training important?
Anyone working in a supervisory position within a food business is accountable for food safety. It is vital that they have the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively.
Learning outcomes
Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand:

At this stage, the learners are 'knowledgeable doers' within a management system. They have a basic background knowledge and understanding and will be working to some extent on their own, completing routine tasks, following procedures and implementing controls, while being monitored by a supervisor. The Food Safety training course is tailored to fit to you're learning, at a pace and scale that suits you giving you greater flexibility.

Again tailored to fit learners, at a pace and scale that suits them giving them greater flexibility in their learning.
